Announcing $103.5 million funding round

As senior editor on fast-growing Vacasa's external communications team, I had the opportunity to help announce a major series B funding round. At the time, it broke records as the largest funding round in Oregon's history (as well as one of the largest in the Pacific Northwest that year). I helped craft quotes, structure the press release, and I wrote our company blog post announcing the news. We secured 10 national feature stories, with coverage ranging everywhere from Fast Company, Fortune, and Reuters to Bloomberg and Forbes. The news was announced at the vacation rental industry's best-attended conference. Traffic to our site increased 390x to our careers page (which I helped create) the day of the announcement.
